Why did you decide to work at Nitrobox?
Whew, that was a long time ago. Back then, at the end of my studies, it was a great fit both professionally and technically. As a budding software developer, I felt the tech stack was state of the art with frameworks I had also used in my student days. I also had a lot of experience already, so I didn’t just work on “anything”, but on topics that I could also contribute. Everyone was also very nice and friendly. It was a pretty easy decision for me to start my career here.
What freedoms do you value most at Nitrobox?
The opportunity to think outside the box, and do what I believe will add the most value at the moment – regardless of the actual job title. In addition, strong support for mobile working (there’s a rough target of 25 office days a year) plus flex time makes for a very malleable work schedule. What more could you ask for?
What do you particularly like about your team and why should people work in your team?
Everyone is up for building something cool. We are not “trapped” in processes and the developers have a lot of freedom and build cool things on their own – that’s what makes it fun!
What does your perfect working day look like?
Delivering cool product enhancements to customers, going for a walk for an hour at lunch, and then analyzing and designing a new problem.
What does your perfect day off look like?
Meeting good friends on a sunny day and reading, watching or playing something in the evening in peace. The perfect day off is one where you can relax well and not stress.
What is your biggest passion outside of work?
Learning more about the world. Whether it’s history, geography, or physics – the world is big and exciting!
